What is the best way to get to The Abaco Club?
The Abaco Club is located on Great Abaco, the main island of a string of quiet Bahamian islands known as The Abacos that are located 186 miles east of West Palm Beach, Florida and just to the northwest of Eleuthera.
While flight schedules to Abaco have been affected by COVID-19, there are still a variety of ways to fly to the island – and more are expected to come back online soon.

  • Private flights can arrive at and leave from Marsh Harbour Airport (MYAM)

  • American Airlines currently flies directly to Marsh Harbour, as does Bahamas Air and Silver Airlines.

  • A few smaller commercial carriers are currently flying from Nassau and Florida to Marsh Harbour.

Is it easy for Americans to purchase real estate in The Bahamas?

Yes. We will assist and streamline the process with the aid of Bahamian counsel.

What are the taxes on a real estate purchase?

There is a Stamp Tax on real estate conveyances in The Bahamas, equal to 10% on the first $2 million of the purchase price and 12% on the remainder. The developer is currently paying 50% of stamp taxes on all new purchases.

When do you anticipate construction to begin on The Cays?

We anticipate construction starting Summer, 2022.

When is the anticipated construction completion date for The Cays?

We are allowing up to 18 months to complete construction of the initial 12 villa residences.

Do The Cays villa residences come fully furnished?

Yes. We have fully furnished packages available. There will also be an option to enlist your own interior designer.

How does the Reservation Program work?

By joining the Reservation Program, you will be first in line to receive ongoing and detailed information covering all aspects of The Cays development project. At the end of the reservation program, you will have all the information you will need to make an informed purchase decision.

Is The Bay Club exclusive to The Cays' homeowners?

No, all members of The Abaco Club will be able to access and enjoy The Bay Club. There are no additional fees or dues to access The Bay Club, usage of which is included in your Club membership.

Am I allowed to rent my residence at The Abaco Club?

Yes, there is a significant demand for rentals from The Abaco Club’s International members (non-resident members), and Abaco Club homeowners may opt into the rental program. Homeowners choosing to rent their homes are not subject to annual real property taxes in The Bahamas for a limited period of time. VRBO, AirBnB and other outside rental platforms are not permitted.
